Revelry, the wide-ranging Wynn Las Vegas food and drinks festival that debuted during the week of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards in 2024, will be back for another round of deliciousness this September 19-27.
Revelry, which coincides with the September 25 debut of the North America’s 50 Best Restaurants awards at Wynn, will be even sweeter and boozier this time.
“The Feast will debut a new realm called Sucre, celebrating nostalgic classics and seasonal confections curated by Wynn’s executive pastry chef Jennifer Yee and the resort’s pastry team, along with special guests Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald of New York’s Levain Bakery,” says Christopher Lee, vice president of culinary operations and restaurant development at Wynn Las Vegas. “A new mixology space will also highlight guest beverage experts as they present handcrafted cocktails.”
With so much of the nation’s top culinary and mixology talent in Las Vegas that week, you might want to plan ahead and get your tickets and room packages soon.
“Las Vegas has really become one of the most exciting culinary destinations in the U.S.,” says longtime restaurant-development executive Elizabeth Blau, who is co-producing Revelry. “Not only do we have incredible restaurants on the Strip, but there’s also a whole restaurant community off the Strip. For 50 Best to be in Las Vegas two years in a row is just an incredible testament to the city and a sign that Wynn’s commitment to excellence in the culinary arts is bar none.”
And with Revelry, Wynn and Blau have created the city’s premier food event. Here’s a preview of this year’s delectable lineup.
The Feast
The September 20 Feast, an elaborate outdoor walkaround tasting, is Revelry’s marquee event. The Feast, with top-tier guest chefs including Daniel Castillo, Burt Bakman, Shirley Chung, Deau Arpapornnoparat, Rogelio Garcia, Joy Alvarez and Antonia Lofaso alongside Wynn’s Alberto Trujillo, Jeff Ramsey, Sarah Thompson, Enzo Febbraro and Martin Heierling, will feature a Four Sixes cowboy cookout and immersive areas dedicated to food from Asia, Mexico and the Mediterranean alongside the Sucre dessert wonderland. Wynn master mixologist Mariena Mercer Boairini will curate drinks alongside guest cocktail luminaries Nectaly Mendoza and Mike Capoferri.
The Master Classes and Dinners
“Wynn’s beloved Connoisseur Series will feature exclusive new classes throughout the week, including how to master the art of barbecue with pitmasters Burt Bakman and Daniel Castillo; a cocktail-making class with actor Ian Somerhalder, master mixologist Mariena Mercer Boarini and special guest mixologists; and a tasting led by Alfred Portale and Michael Rubinstein, executive chef of Sartiano's Italian Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas, just to name a few,” Lee says.
Spirits connoisseurs will want to make a point of attending the September 21 Ultimate Royal Salute whisky dinner, which will conclude with the bucket-list tasting of a Royal Salute Time Chamber bottle that’s been aged for 53 years and is valued at more than $120,000.
Revelry will also have collaborative lunches and dinners as Wynn restaurants team up with North America fine-dining titans like Atomix, Singlethread and Cyrus. Then on the two nights after the North America’s 50 Best Restaurants awards, a cavalcade of the country’s most celebrated chefs will converge for special dinners.
“A new lineup of legendary chefs will be headlining the All-Stars and Icons dinners, including Angie Mar, Gavin Kaysen, Fariyal Abdullahi, JJ Johnson, Alain Ducasse, Dominique Crenn, Emeril Lagasse, Marcus Samuelsson, Jacques Torres and Alfred Portale,’ Lee says “It is a privilege to have these chefs at this year’s festival, and we look forward to cooking some unforgettable dishes at both events.”
Beyond Revelry
“Wynn is just a perfect spot for 50 Best,” says longtime Las Vegas restaurant-development executive Elizabeth Blau, who is co-producing Revelry. “The facilities that Wynn has with the pre-reception in the ballroom and then moving to the Encore Theater for the awards and then having the afterparty at Encore Beach Club last year was just a showcase of all the venues and all of the high-quality food and beverage and the real dedication that Wynn has to excellence.”
The North America’s 50 Best awards are a private event, but visitors to Wynn in September can see David Blaine or Chris Tucker at the Encore Theater. Encore Beach Club and Wynn’s XS nightclub will have talent like Marshmello, the Chainsmokers, Sofi Tukker and DJ Diesel (yes, that’s Shaquille O’Neal) on the same week as Revelry.
For dinner, Wynn recently debuted Pisces Bar & Seafare, where Heierling is serving grand seafood platters, spicy lobster spaghettini and salt-baked loup de mer. Lee suggests starting your meal at Pisces with the Voyage seafood platter that features oysters, clams, mussels, Oishii shrimp, lobster Catalana, king crab and spicy tuna tartare.
Want a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap in a buzzing and beautiful space? Wynn has you sorted at B Bar.
“For an upscale cocktail experience, the newly reintroduced B Bar offers celebrated libations with an elevated twist in an intimate, cocktail cabinet setting,” Lee says.
Cocktail highlights include Opposites Attract, a dirty martini riff made with Belvedere vodka, spicy Castelvetrano olive brine and black truffle salt. Order a classic Old Fashioned at B Bar and it comes with Wynn’s own “signature barrel’ Angel’s Envy bourbon.
