Las Vegas residents may be a little jaded when it comes to seeing our city on the big screen; after all, more than 200 movies have been shot here. But we’ll never get tired of name-checking some favorite spots.

Starring Brad Pitt, F1: The Movie was directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, and releases on June 27, 2025. After scenes shot at Formula 1 Grand Prix races on the Silverstone Circuit in UK (look for the purple Las Vegas banners above the track!), Monza in Italy, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Hungary, Belgium, Netherlands, Japan, and Mexico City—the story reaches a turning point at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Sonny Hayes (played by Brad Pitt) is a once-promising Formula 1 driver lured out of obscurity (and the van he now lives in) by his old friend and rival Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem) to help revitalize the struggling APXGP team Cervantes owns and mentor rookie Joshua Pearce (Damson Idriss). Together, they battle personal demons, intergenerational rivalry, and long odds as they chase redemption and racing glory around the globe. No spoilers, since we know you’ll want to see it yourself, but here are some key Vegas locations to visit.

F1: The Movie Las Vegas Filming Locations

Reenact your own moments from the movie at these spots in Vegas:

Train like Sonny, who runs north on the Strip just past The STRAT (you’ll see the Bob Stupak Ave. sign right behind him, and the Sahara in the distance).

F1: The Movie Cosmopolitan balcony scene
The Wraparound Terrace Suite Fountain View at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

If you want to recreate the fateful moment Sonny checks into his room at Encore to read (on Wynn stationery) a note from Kate asking him to meet her at the “supper club,” book Encore Tower Suite Salon #2206. You’ll get his same view: an incredible view of the Wynn tower and its illuminated logo.

Sonny meets Pearce and Kate (Kerry Condon) in the “supper club,” which is not Delilah, but a sound stage, where they play Texas hold 'em  (still, if you have a dimly lit room and a deck of Wynn playing cards, you can reenact this scene).

Sonny, ahem, visits Kate in her suite at The Cosmopolitan—where we see the Fountains of Bellagio dancing below their terrace. (In an interview with some of the movie’s stars, Las Vegas entertainment reporter Rachel Smith learns from Kerry Condon that director Joseph Kosinski controlled the fountains for the scene.) You’ll likely not be able to recreate this perfect timing: Bellagio’s former Hyde nightclub offered a press of the fountain’s button for $250k, and a recent Marriott Bonvoy member paid 2.4 million loyalty points to create his own show. Which is to say that even in Vegas this opportunity isn’t the norm.

Kate’s room is a Wraparound Terrace Suite Fountain View in the northeast part of the Boulevard Tower—these suites have the most direct and expansive views of the fountains. When Cervantes knocks on the door to track Sonny down, the number on Kate’s door is “3715.” The Cosmopolitan confirms that this is not the suite number. (The best wraparound view suites on the northeast side end in the number “..78.”).

Famous DJ Martin Garrix gives an electrifying performance at OMNIA Nightclub.
Omnia Nightclub in Caesars Palace.

You can easily reproduce the club scene at OMNIA, where Pearce and cousin/manager Cashman (Samson Kayo) have a prime bottle service table for a set by Tiësto. You’ll get the same vantage point (elevated, behind the DJ booth) by sitting in Pearce and Cash’s Balcony Skybox 225.

Many key scenes were filmed on site at Grand Prix Plaza during race week, including footage from the actual pitlane, team garages and the surrounding track. Book one of the three interactive experiences at Grand Prix Plaza, and you can see all these areas.

If you’re looking for similar sweeping aerials of Bellagio, Sphere, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, and more, book a nighttime Vegas Views helicopter tour over the Las Vegas Strip with Maverick Helicopters, which soars over everything from The STRAT to Fremont Street to Allegiant Stadium.

Loved the music video “Messy,” by Rosé of BLACKPINK, featured in the official F1 soundtrack? It was filmed in a ballroom at The Cosmopolitan, the same northeast corner suite  as the Sonny and Kate scene, and along various bits of the Strip.

F1: The Movie is out in theaters nationwide and the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix returns on November 20-22, 2025.
