It's a season of savings in Las Vegas, but there's also something special about being a local. Having a Nevada driver’s license or ID buried in your wallet has its perks.

“Las Vegas wouldn’t be what it is without the people who live and work here," says Zach Jukel, vice president of marketing for Carver Road Hospitality.

With that in mind, two restaurants under the Carver Road banner are offering summer prix fixe menus, exclusively for locals, to benefit the Nevada Restaurant Association’s ProStart program, which sets up high school students for careers in the culinary and hospitality sectors.

Carversteak at Resorts World has a Local 99 dinner, featuring an appetizer (Caesar Salad, wagyu beef skewers, or glazed pork belly), optional seared foie gras add-on, a main course (ribeye, salmon or Jidori chicken breast with an option to add on a grilled tiger prawn) and crème brûlée for $99 per person.

Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar — a hot spot before and after events at Allegiant Stadium — has a $40 Neighborhood MVPs prix fixe menu, featuring Caesar salad or crispy pork belly, Wagyu bacon smashburger or salmon and pineapple Dole Whip for a soft-serve dessert.

“The hospitality community in Las Vegas is powered by locals, and these menus are our way of saying thank you," Jukel says.

So where else can locals get a sweet deal in Vegas?

Dining

Chef Shawn McClain's Balla Italian Soul has an irresistible deal for locals (and industry pros) on Sundays — 50 percent off all steaks, from ribeyes and New York strips to a tasty flat iron and weekly specials. Come back on Wednesday and get 50 percent off bottles of wine. The restaurant is inside the Sahara, which continues to give everyone free parking without time restrictions.

Think of Eataly as the original food hall in Vegas with 15 bars and walk-up service counters for Italian drinks and cuisine at the Park MGM. But don't sleep on the retail section near the Stripside entrance. Locals get 10 percent off bottles (including low-intervention options and other Italian labels that are hard to find elsewhere in Vegas) in the wine shop and packaged food items in the Marketplace.

The Venetian has its share of locals' discounts. Stop by Buddy V's Ristorante, where parties of eight or less can enjoy 25 perfect off food by "Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro. Nevada residents also get 15 percent off food at Matteo's, Brera and two restaurants on the pool deck: Spritz and Capri. A 10 percent food discount applies at Miznon, a casual walk-up counter for Mediterranean street food by celebrity chef Eyal Shani.

Attractions

Caesars Entertainment gives locals 20% off tickets for attractions in the heart of the Strip, including the Fly LINQ Zipline and High Roller Observation Wheel at The LINQ promenade and Eiffel Tower Experience viewing deck 460 feet above the Strip at Paris Las Vegas.

Members of the free True Rewards program at The Strat also qualify for a True Locals card with proof of residency within 50 miles of the resort. It's good for a host of perks, including 50% off admission to thrill rides near the top of the resort's 1,149-foot-tall tower, free admission for two for the observation deck, 25% off bookings at Atomic Golf, 20% off tickets to shows like Terry Fator and Rouge and $20 all-in pricing for any show at the L.A. Comedy Club. Mention code LOCAL25 when booking a hotel room directly (on the phone or at the check-in desk) and receive 50 percent off the day's best-available price.

Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Luxor, which expanded its collection of items recovered from the doomed ocean liner this past year, is giving locals tickets for $38, a five-dollar discount.

Ready to drive some golf balls with the Strip skyline as your backdrop? Locals can reserve bays at Topgolf for as little as $31.80, which is 25 percent off regular walk-in pricing.

The Venetian has a special deal for locals on the outdoor gondolas that drift through the canals in front of the resort. Take advantage of buy-one, get-one-free tickets through September 30.
