Music fans around the globe flock to Las Vegas every year, as the most exciting music festivals make their way to the Entertainment Capital of the World.

From pop and country to hip-hop and EDM — and everything in between — there’s a thrilling musical experience waiting for you in Las Vegas. The calendar is action-packed, between the 11-year anniversary celebration of Life Is Beautiful Music & Art Festival, iHeart Radio Music Festival at T-Mobile Arena, When We Were Young Festival at Las Vegas Festival Grounds, the RiSE Lantern Festival and the Electric Daisy Carnival at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. And that’s only the beginning!

If you’re headed to Vegas to find some stellar sounds at one of these exciting events, you might have a few questions about what to bring with you. Here’s our handy guide for what to expect!

Plan Your Festival Schedule

In the weeks leading up, review the festival itinerary and set times to ensure you don’t miss your must-see acts, saving you and your crew time. Walk the festival grounds before seeing a show to help get your bearings and to know how to get around during your awesome musical adventure. Be sure to look at that festival app, too, as many allow you to plan your personal schedule, helping you stay on track.

How To Get Around

Most festivals in Las Vegas are right in the middle of the action—you only need a quick taxi or ride-share option to get you to where you need to be. The Las Vegas Monorail is also a great option—even if your festival isn’t a direct stop on its route, use it to help get near the festival’s location.

Entry Access

Depending on what festival you’re attending, you might have an actual ticket, e-ticket or wristband that’s going to give you access to the sonic party of your choice. Be sure you’re aware of what your fest requires and, most importantly, don’t forget your ID.

Stay Connected

Many festivals in Las Vegas last all day — or night — long. That means you need to think ahead about how to keep your phone charged, both to capture every moment and to stay in touch with your crew. Find a quality portable charger and be sure to give it some juice the night before. A durable phone case also isn’t a bad idea, and check your festival’s page to see if they’re offering Wi-Fi. Also, be sure to download the festival apps -- like Life Is Beautiful —doing such will keep you connected to festival updates so you don’t miss a single detail!

Follow Festival Guidelines

Staying in step with festival rules is a must, so be sure to check the website to see what items are allowed (and not allowed) before packing them in your bag. Investing in a clear backpack or bag is also a great idea, as it should get you through security lines quickly and efficiently.

Stay Cool

Most of the destination’s festivals take place outside, and the sun is shining in Las Vegas over 320 days each year. So, work on your festival tan and stay safe with your favorite bottle of sunscreen, a stylish hat, and some sunglasses — you don’t want sun glare ruining a view of your favorite artist! Also, remember to drink plenty of water. With all the rocking out you’re going to do, you’ve gotta stay hydrated!

Have Fun and Show Some Love

The festival experience in Las Vegas is all about having the time of your life, so live it up! Many festivalgoers wear elaborate and eye-catching costumes, so why not join the fun? If you’re feeling adventurous, think up something creative to wear while you’re here. On the more practical side, while many festivals are cashless and there will likely be ATMs, remember to bring some cash just in case. The food and beverages at a Vegas music festival are next level, so it’s always nice to show your appreciation — and send some good vibes — via cash tips.

The After-Festival Party

When the festival ends, the party is long from over in Las Vegas. You have so many options to continue the party in the destination. Vegas is full of fabulous wind-down spots, offering fantastic fare (and some additional cocktails) to round out your night on the town. If you’re near the Strip, try Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. There’s also amazing grub at Coronado Café at South Point Hotel Casino & Spa, where late-night specials are offered throughout the week. If you find yourself in downtown Las Vegas, Project BBQ at Circa Resort & Casino serves up spectacular BBQ. There’s always a great spot to grab some late-night eats in Vegas!

If you happened to forget something, you’re in luck! Las Vegas is a shopping hub, with some of the world’s most impressive malls and retail centers. A quick trip to Fashion Show Mall or Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, both on Las Vegas Boulevard, will help you find some essentials.

In between your time at the massive musical party, check out all Las Vegas has to offer, from world-class dining to live entertainment and fabulous pool parties
