Marc Anthony’s new Las Vegas show, VEGAS…MY WAY, burst onto the residency scene in February and returns in July at the BleauLive Theater at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Choose any series of positive, high-intensity descriptors, and they’ll begin to convey the vibes on stage and the waves of joy radiating from the audience on opening night.

And for those of you who think Latin music burst on the scene with Bad Bunny (yay, Benito!), and might only know Marc Anthony as “that guy who married JLo,” consider this: When Billboard debuted its Tropical charts (Tropical Albums in 1985, and Tropical Airplay in 1994), they might as well have named them the Marc Anthony charts, as thirteen of the Nuyorican salsero’s albums have reached No. 1 on the former, and 37 of his songs have reached No.1 on the latter, earning him the Guinness World Record for being the world’s best-selling tropical/salsa artist.

Presented in three acts, VEGAS…MY WAY features a dynamic 14-piece band, a series of clever multimedia presentations, and enough pyrotechnics for a KISS concert, not to mention a bravura performance by Anthony, who throughout the evening gives his audience everything they want and more. One of those things is his signature holding of a single note for a very (very) long time—in which the band pauses, and Anthony, with his head tilted back, and eyes closed, pulls back from the mic, and lets the audience have it. It’s nothing short of salsero showmanship of the highest level.

As for those multimedia presentations, while nothing new to concertgoers in Las Vegas, VEGAS…MY WAY gives them a new twist, in which Marc Anthony—known for his many duets and musical collaborations with some of the world’s biggest artists—is able to perform his part of the duet, while the “guest artist” performs via music video.  This allows for “appearances” from Maluma (“Felices los 4”), Wisin (“Que me Quiera Más”), Piso 21 (“Volver”), Pitbull (“Rain Over Me”), Gente de Zona (“La Gozadera”), Daddy Yankee (“De Vuelta Pa’ La Vuelta”), and La India (“Vivir Lo Nuestro”).

Giving just the right nod to the great ghosts of Las Vegas past, Anthony closed his first show by performing for the first time (in both English and Spanish, no less) one of Frank Sinatra’s signature songs, the Paul Anka-penned “My Way,” in a gorgeous and completely Marc Anthony kind of way; before returning to the stage to sing “Vivir Mi Vida” (with one of those very long notes) as his encore.

It was a memorable experience, to be sure.  Did the fact that (due to the limitations of my fifth-grade Spanish) I had no idea what he was saying during many of the songs affect the level of my enjoyment?  Not in the least, and I’ll tell you why.  Because I wasn’t paying attention to what he was saying so much as how he was saying it, I was able to focus completely on the musicality and emotiveness of this dynamic performer, and the ways he interacted with his audience, all of which were magical.

And while Las Vegas didn’t invent the idea of dinner and a show, Las Vegas has certainly perfected it, and one excellent example is preceding your Marc Anthony experience with dinner at KYU.  Go for the classic shishitos and pork gyoza, stay for the Korean fried chicken, and top it off with an espresso and the sweet goodness of the KYU cinnamon roll, before making your way to the BleauLive Theater.  Later, after the concert, head over to NoWhere, where you can enjoy live music and a nightcap in a room designed to evoke an upscale living room.

Marc Anthony’s VEGAS…MY WAY will be performed in the BleauLive Theater at Fontainebleau Las Vegas returns in summer: July 24, 25, 29, 31 and Aug. 1; Sept. 11, 12, 13, 16, 18, 19; and Nov. 20, 21, 2026.
