Mermaid School at Silverton Hotel & Casino

Leave it to the ultimate vacation destination to turn your little mermaid’s underwater fantasy into reality. Home to the only mermaid training program in the country and set inside a real aquarium, Mermaid School takes place inside a stunning 117,000-gallon saltwater aquarium filled with thousands of tropical fish and a variety of stingray and shark species. During the 90-minute session, children ages 7–15 (and adults, on select dates), are fitted with colorful mermaid tails and goggles and guided through a warm-up class before swimming among the fish with their professional instructors. BattleBots: Destruct-A-Thon

Vegas is the only place on Earth where BattleBots leave the TV screen and enter the arena with full-throttle force. At BattleBots: Destruct-A-Thon inside Horseshoe Las Vegas, your family gets front-row seats to the mechanical mayhem and engineering brilliance in a custom-built arena — and lively commentary from the original show host. The show runs daily and features five to seven full-scale battles packed into a tight 90-minute program. Arte Museum Las Vegas

Dance with a whale and step into Vincent van Gogh’s Flower Roses. Kids will be captivated by the live sketchbook that transforms their drawings into life-sized animation. Classic Family Fun with a Vegas Twist

VEGAS SUPERKARTS at SPEEDVEGAS Motorsports Park   

Just 15 minutes from the Strip, families with older kids can find an extreme change of pace on a go-kart track that’s designed to feel like the real deal. Speed along a 1,600-foot-long track featuring double apex corners, hairpins, fast sweepers and 90-degree corners. Drivers must be at least 14 years old and 55 inches tall, and the track is equipped with the latest high-tech safety barriers, offering worry-free thrills and fun. Between races, spectators can take a seat in the supercar pitlanes to watch racers zoom around the track. 

The Tank Pool at the Golden Nugget

Head downtown to the Golden Nugget, where a day by the water turns into a full-blown adventure. The resort’s one-of-a-kind pool features a 200,000-gallon live shark aquarium as its centerpiece—and you can slide right through it. The three-story waterslide is open to all ages and sends riders through a transparent tunnel surrounded by reef sharks and tropical fish. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to access the tank pool; just purchase a day pass, available seasonally from May to November. And if you’re visiting in July, you’ll want to get in on Shark Days, a week of interactive activities and live demonstrations like shark feedings, poolside Q&A sessions with the divers and an aquatic-themed scavenger hunt.
