January – Start the new year with some post-holiday shopping! Head over to Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino with over 150 name-brand and boutique stores right on the Strip featuring incredible entertainment and dining options. Then check out Play Playground at Luxor Hotel & Casino. The 15,000-square-foot space is an homage to the old-school games of your childhood, offering larger-than-life versions of puzzles, memory activities and physical games. Be a kid again (while enjoying tasty libations from the venue’s two bars).

It’s also a great month to take in the modern engineering marvel of the Hoover Dam, which provides power for homes and businesses in Nevada, Arizona and California. Tours are offered at the national spectacle, which is in the vicinity of Lake Mead National Recreation Area and blocks the mighty Colorado River. Nearby you’ll find Boulder City, which offers a number of restaurants, bars and lounges to round out your trip at!

February – Get ready for the Super Bowl this month, as Las Vegas will host Super Bowl LVIII (58). The February extravaganza kicks off citywide as Vegas transforms into the ultimate Super Sunday celebration destination. Participate in pregame activities like the Super Bowl Experience at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. Epic viewing parties offering immersive experiences will be taking place throughout the destination, so check out this list for where to watch the Big Game. Also launching that weekend is the first residency for legendary hip-hop crew Wu-Tang Clan. After debuting at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas during Big Game weekend, the GRAMMY Award-nominated, chart-topping phenomenon continue their run with shows in March.

 

March – Vegas keeps surprising the world with the residencies of music fans’ dreams. The destination is doing it again this month, when chart-topping R&B artists New Edition take the stage at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. With their soulful singing and awesome dance moves, this group paved the way for more modern boy bands like *N’SYNC and The Backstreet Boys – you simply must experience their artistry live. Then, celebrate St. Patrick's Day in style in Downtown Las Vegas’ Fremont Street Experience where Vegas - and your drinks – are green and festive! And just a few days later, the NCAA's March Mania tournament kicks off and Las Vegas is transformed into hoop haven! Head to Hard Rock Café for its Hoops Mania Watch Party to catch all the action! To get your daily steps in, check out Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area for plenty of hiking and biking trails and picturesque views.

You also must check out The Punk Rock Museum, which houses the world’s largest collection of artifacts devoted to the rock subgenre. It’s turning one year old on April 1 – and to celebrate the milestone, the new downtown attraction is putting on a massive concert in its parking lot on March 31. Tour the space and enjoy sets from local punk groups and popular punk acts like The Vandals, Get Dead and The Last Gang.

April – When April blossoms into springtime, Las Vegas blossoms with vibrant new colors. Enjoy the picnic and a nature walk at Springs Preserve’s 180 acres of botanical paradise. Or visit Cactus Joe’s, an incredible, unique nursery with a wide variety of cacti, desert plants, and sculptures. And be sure to score tickets to see Phish as they’ll take the stage at Sphere, giving attendees an immersive and one-of-a-kind experience. Each show will differ as they will have unique setlists and visuals.

May – Embark on a sensory journey as Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) electrifies Las Vegas each May with musical acts, rides, performers, and more. This year, Resorts World Las Vegas joins the excitement with a spectacular event takeover, promising an unforgettable fusion of music, lights and spectacle. Not to worry, shuttles to and from the event are available.

If pop is more up your alley than EDM, Kylie Minogue will perform her last listed dates (at the time this article was published) at Voltaire at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. It’s her first Vegas residency, which launched fresh off the heels of her international hit song, “Padam Padam.”

There’s even more music to take in during the month of May, as the Lovers & Friends Festival returns for another day jam-packed with pop, R&B, hip-hop and rap artists at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Attendees will enjoy sets from the likes of Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, Backstreet Boys, Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson and many more. But if you’re a country fan, you’re going to want to book a trip and get a ticket for Shania Twain’s triumphant return to the Las Vegas Strip at Bakkt Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

June – You haven’t been to a pool party until you’ve been to one in Las Vegas! We’re talking top-charting DJs, foam guns, in-pool bars, day and night activities, giant floaties, drink carts, inner tubes, premium hospitality offerings, and more! To set things off, try the incredible Drai’s Beachclub at The Cromwell Las Vegas. Or check out the party over at Encore Beach Club at Wynn Las Vegas.

July – Celebrate Fourth of July in true Vegas style as the destination lights up in festive celebration. August – Kick off the start of the NFL season in Las Vegas! September – The 11th annual Life Is Beautiful festival will take place in September spanning 18 blocks in Downtown Las Vegas as a celebration of music, art and culture across multiple stages. The 14th annual iHeart Music Festival takes place Sept. 20-21 at T-Mobile Arena. October – Las Vegas hosts a number of fall celebrations, costume balls and spooky events. One of the most anticipated events is When We Were Young, a music festival celebrating alternative and emo music from the early aughts. Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday and The Used—plus many more—will play at the annual event, with many covering entire albums favorited by fans. NovemberFormula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix racing returns to Vegas Nov. 21–23 where you’ll find watch parties all across the destination.

The high-speed engines will get your heart and mind racing with the excitement and thrill of Formula 1, all against the iconic backdrop of the Las Vegas Strip. The Formula 1 race also includes coverage of the opening ceremony, a golf tournament, and themed events and meals across Las Vegas.
