But have no fear, we’re here to help.
We’ve put together this handy list of ideas to help fill every minute of your visit while you’re not attending one of the official wedding events. It’s Vegas’ job to entertain you when you’re not in the capable hands of your hosts.
Get out and walk a bit:
The typically beautiful weather in Vegas makes planning a few outdoor daytime activities a must. A visit to the LINQ Promenade is a perfect way to get outside and still have a little Vegas-style fun. The scenic Promenade features a variety of restaurants with patio seating, shops and amusements right at the heart of The Strip, culminating at the Promenade’s east end with the unparalleled views aboard the High Roller ride which carries passengers 550 feet in the sky.
Similarly, The Park is an immersive outdoor destination for dining and entertainment that combines New York-New York, Park MGM and T-Mobile Arena into one neighborhood. The Park is a truly unique urban space that manages to bring trees, desert landscapes, dazzling water features and shade structures to our bustling environment. With indoor and outdoor dining options and vibrant art and horticulture programs, a visit to The Park is a visit to a desert oasis unlike anything else on The Strip.
Do a little, or a whole lot of shopping. This is Vegas after all, you can’t take more than a few steps without running into great, unique, stylish, or trendy shopping opportunities. On The Strip, off The Strip, wherever you go in this town there’s shopping to do. Head over to the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood or Francesca’s at Town Square to pick up something for yourself or to find the perfect last-minute wedding gift. Whatever you’re looking for, including things you never thought you’d be looking for, you’ll find it or it will find you here in Vegas.
How about a pool with or without its own party?
When it’s pool time, head over to the Encore Beach Club at Wynn Las Vegas or the Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan. The Encore Beach Club features 26 cabanas with stocked refrigerators, flatscreen TVs and plush daybeds surrounding the oasis-like pool scene. It also happens to be a great place to catch live music featuring artists like Diplo, The Chainsmokers and Major Lazer. Meanwhile, the 22,000 square-foot Marquee Dayclub is a multi-level entertainment complex featuring bars and a gaming area as well as resident DJs and performers. It’s the poolside party you’ve always wanted to be a part of.
Or if the gang wants a pool but maybe not so much a party, you can’t go wrong with the Treasure Island Pool. At Treasure Island, you can relax by the pool on one of the chaise lounges while working on your tan, sipping one of their tropical frozen infusions and munching on some of their tasty poolside bites. Sure it’s decadent. It’s Vegas.
Check off a few “Must-dos”:
No trip to Vegas is complete without checking off a few of the “must-dos” here in town. For example, you can’t miss a photo op at the famous Vegas welcome sign, or the spectacular sight that is the covered Fremont Street, home to restaurants, attractions and the coolest zipline around, Slotzilla.
Of course one of the biggest “Must-dos” in Vegas is to catch a show or two. And two of the hottest shows in town are BAZ – Star Crossed Love at The Palazzo, a dazzling musical tribute to the films of Baz Luhrman and Absinthe, the outrageous comedy featuring amazing feats performed mere feet away from the awestruck audience at Caesars Palace. Or if you’re interested in the classics, the long-running Blue Man Group is still delighting audiences at Luxor with their blend of music and humor on a nightly basis. There’s also Cirque du Soleil’s “O™”, an aquatic-based masterpiece which has been thrilling crowds at Bellagio for years.
For the kid in you and the kids with you:
