Bachelor Party, Budgeted
Remember when you and your buddy used to go out ALL the time? "It's a marathon, not a sprint," they'd say. But the fateful day has come—your best friend popped the question, and the race is on to celebrate those last few days of Bachelordom. Are the guys not totally keen on blowing their budgets for a weekend in Vegas? No worries—here's how to do a bachelor party right without diving in the red.
Our general advice for saving cash in Vegas: set aside some R&R time to enjoy those complimentary amenities (so chill), be homies with your hotel concierge, please don't get those matching t-shirts (opt for a good dinner instead), and book things in advance. Here are our suggestions for maxing out the most Vegas with every dollar you spend:
Where to sleep - For the minimal sleep you'll be getting, a big place to save is on your room situation. We love The LINQ Deluxe Bunk Bed rooms that start at $58 per night. These rooms can sleep five comfortably because of the awesome bunk bed feature (SO MUCH ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES) and get you complimentary access to the adult-only pool. Another big plus: The LINQ is located smack dab in the middle of The Strip.
Pro-tip: Always tell front desk about what you're celebrating. If you're lucky they might throw in something extra.
Grab a drink - O'Sheas is great place to start. They boast more than 50 types of beer, an outdoor bar, beer pong and other games, plus live music. You can also bring your guys to Rockhouse at The Venetian, or Double Barrel Roadhouse at Monte Carlo for some great drink specials.
Party hardy - To get that classic Vegas nightclub experience without breaking the bank, here are the spots we suggest: Foxtail Nightclub at SLS and Drai's Nightclub at the Cromwell. If you're trying to get a little taste of what a bunch of Vegas clubs are like, the VIP nightlife tours like Club Tour Vegas or Club Crawl are perfect—you pay a fixed price and you don't have to worry about anything else.
Pro-tip: Make friends in line and merge your crew with a group of ladies for possible free entry wherever you go.
Get your grub on - For some moderately priced and delicious food, our picks are: Beer Park and Gordon Ramsey Pub & Grill. Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas is a great spot for groups—it's Oktoberfest everyday there. They get their beer shipped directly from Munich and have a menu full of traditional German-Bavarian eats.
The Peppermill Coffee Shop is an obvious choice if you are trying not to splurge, yet still want a late-night food option. Mr. Lucky's 24/7 is another good one—their Graveyard Happy Ending menu is almost entirely priced under $10.
Here's the lowdown on saving with buffets: Buy the Buffet of Buffets pass to hop between six different buffets for a 24 hour period—this covers you for every meal of the day plus more. We also suggest finding one like the Buffet at Excalibur that offer All-You-Can-Drink so you can save a few more bucks.
What else? - There's a ton of wallet-friendly activities that have nothing to do with partying: you could check out TopGolf, Pole Position, play Bingo at Plaza, walk the Strip, and so much more. You could see a concert at Brooklyn Bowl or The Foundry at SLS, or check out a free comedy show like The Dirty at 12:30 at South Point.
Pro-tip: Peruse Groupon and LivingSocial ahead of time to snag some deals on activities.
Cruising around the town - For getting around Vegas our big advice is to download Uber or Lyft and search for some discount codes before you get here. If you guys need a ride to or from McCarran International Airport, many hotels actually offer complimentary shuttle service.
Now that your minds (and wallets) are at ease, you're ready to host an awesome bachelor party weekend. With these pro-tips you can tackle Vegas like a pro.
