An Awesome Anniversary

HOW TO MAKE YOURS THE BEST EVER

It's that time of the year when you are required by the law of love to shower your significant other with affection and to celebrate your relationship better than all those over-sharing, one-upping couples on Facebook.

We're speaking to all the hopeless romantics out there trying to plan some extravagant expressions of love for their anniversaries, six-monthirversaries, or in the name of pure spontaneity. Go one better: take your S.O. to Vegas for a romantic vacation, because no one does grand gestures quite as well as we do.

Stay:

The Venetian just oozes romance. Indulge yourselves with a suite, breakfast in bed, a private gondola ride through the Grand Canal, and a candle-lit pre-fixe dinner at db Brasserie.

If you're looking to stay off the Strip, Red Rock Casino is a plush resort with Red Rock Canyon views. Its ambience is low-key yet upscale, and you can choose to have either of those types of experiences there. The resort is tucked between the city and Red Rock, providing a romantic and relaxing setting. At its centerpiece is a three-acre pool complex fit for a king and queen.

Nobu Hotel is the new boutique hotel in Caesars Palace that is co-owned by Robert De Niro and Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa. This place rocks the balance between opulence and exclusivity—giving you the celeb treatment you two deserve, while feeling like you're a part of something elite. The special touches around the hotel—the Italian bed sheets, the upscale Japanese minibar snacks, the pillow and bath menu—are what make Nobu a great spot to create that romantic ambience.

Eat:

The Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas serves up some incredible French cuisine at the top at the Eiffel Tower replica overlooking the Strip. You can even see the Fountains of Bellagio at every seat in the restaurant. They even say this is the perfect spot to pop the question.

Hopefully you aren't scared of heights because Top of the World gives dinner with a view a whole new meaning. More than 800 feet above the Strip in the Stratosphere Tower, Top of the World serves delicious eats while the whole place revolves 360 degrees. They also have a pretty impressive wine list.

Hugo's Cellar in the iconic Four Queens is a date night staple in Vegas. From the menu to the atmosphere, this place takes classic old-style Vegas seriously. Hugo's Cellar serves black Angus beef, veal, flown-in-fresh seafood and other classics paired with their award-winning wine list. The best part? Ladies are greeted with a long-stemmed rose.

Do:

Set in a private spa suite, the Art of Romance Spa package at Mandarin Oriental is the perfect treatment for two. After a welcoming foot ritual, the treatment continues with skin softening body exfoliation, a soak in a hydrotherapy tub, and a personalized aromatherapy massage.

One of our favorite anniversary activities is the Maverick helicopter tour. They will fly you above the Strip, through the Grand Canyon, to the Hoover Dam—everywhere with an incredible view. Their packages vary for all budgets and locations.

The High Roller at The LINQ is an easy date night win - it is the world's tallest observation wheel, eclipsing the London Eye and Singapore Flyer. Each glass-enclosed cabin holds up to 28 people, and takes 30 minutes for one revolution. You have the option to reserve the whole cabin for a private group, or even just the two of you.

See:

If you're looking to see a show, Zumanity at New York New York is by far the most intimate experience. Zumanity is one of the classic Cirque du Soleil productions on The Strip, but is unique in that it doesn't attempt to create a storyline. In true cabaret style each act stands alone, but has similar musical and set elements strung throughout the show for consistency.

On the top of any Vegas must-do list is to check out the Bellagio Fountains. The fountains are coordinated with music and light and creates an instant romantic vibe. This free show is on every 15 minutes—usually starting in the afternoon—but check their schedule to be sure.

If you two are in the mood to lounge by the pool, the Palazzo is definitely worth checking out. This complex boasts stunning fountains, luxurious cabanas, lush landscaping, and more. This top-notch pool is just as beautiful as it is relaxing.
