Check in at Golden Nugget where you’ll channel some classic Vegas nostalgia. From the spacious rooms and sprawling casino to the awesome dining and nightlife options, this place is iconic for a reason.

Our fave part about this place? The three-story pool complex that features a massive aquarium and an enclosed waterslide that passes through the aquarium. There’s also an adults-only pool, if that’s more of the vibe you’re looking for.

Dine at Siegel’s 1941 (El Cortez) for all the classic cool of old Vegas, yet with modern sensibilities. Grab a bite just like Bugsy at this upscale, casual, downtown dining spot offering skillfully prepared dishes and a carefully curated wine list. Side note for all the early birds and night owls out there: It’s open 24 hours.

Now it’s time to TREAT. YOUR. SELF. Head to the full-service Bombshell Salon for any beauty service. From waxing and airbrush tanning to exceptional hair and nail care services, it has it all. You can’t help but love the pinup style and atomic personality of its space and beauticians.

Say “om” at Blue Sky Yoga, with yoga designed for all levels and abilities. Classes are on a donation-only basis ($12 per class suggested) to continue the culture of inclusivity.

Hang out at Downtown Container Park, an open-air entertainment center built from shipping containers. Here you’ll find boutique shops, galleries, fine and casual dining options, bars, and more. The Dome is a locals’ secret you may want to check out as well.

If you’re up for a little adventure, rent from the bike share right in front of Container Park and explore more of the upbeat and artsy Fremont East District on your own terms.

It’s dinnertime, and we recommend heading back to Golden Nugget for dinner at Red Sushi. Hand-rolled sushi, fresh sashimi, savory ramen, Japanese sake, mmmmm. This is the perfect spot for authentic Japanese cuisine in a chic setting. Be sure to check out its amazing happy hour specials.

Those looking to turn it down or turn it up, alike, will love Commonwealth. Grab a drink and chill downstairs, or head to the rooftop to dance the night away. Pro tip: Make reservations for The Laundry Room—the password-guarded secret speakeasy located somewhere inside.
