Who says you can’t have a blast without spending a dime? In Las Vegas, there are several places where you can catch an engaging live show for the right price – free!

Start a Sing Along Under the Canopy
Imagine catching one of your favorite country bands playing under the canopy of the Fremont Street Experience, for free. On Dec. 4, the 33rd Annual Downtown Hoedown brings this fantasy to life on the Main, 1st and 3rd Street stages. The lineup includes chart-topping country music artists Rodney Atkins, Dylan Scott, David Lee Murphy, Filmore, Gabby Barrett and Jackson Michelson. Can’t make the Hoedown? There is live music on the Main Street Stage starting at 6 p.m. every night, along with the free Viva Vision Shows under the canopy.

Evoke Yesterday’s Vegas, Today
A casino lounge may be the quintessential Vegas experience, especially when you can catch the up-and-coming talent free of charge. At Nashville Unplugged at Mandalay Bay, settle into a comfortable seat at Rhythm & Riffs Lounge, grab a drink and listen to the story behind the song as this songwriter in the round show brings the most successful, hit songwriters from Nashville right to you. Or head downtown and embody the Las Vegas of yesteryear at the swanky Rush Lounge at Golden Nugget. Located in the middle of the casino’s action, the intimate space features live music each night, with a rotating mix of lounge acts and rock bands, all of which can be enjoyed with a creative drink in hand. At Eastside Lounge inside Wynn Las Vegas, sip an expertly handcrafted cocktail in an intimate setting while enjoying live entertainment beginning each night at 9:30 p.m. Don’t miss the spectacular view of Encore’s resort pool.

Find Yourself in an Entertainment Wonderland
The center Strip locale, Harrah’s Las Vegas, has several ways to enjoy free live music any day – and night – of the week. For a high-energy, open-air street party that features bands, DJs and flair bartenders, Carnaval Court is like nowhere else in the world. Not ready to end the fun? Head inside Harrah’s to keep the party going at the Piano Bar. Come for the Dueling Piano Twins, stay for the eccentric showmanship, jazz acts, rousing karaoke and celebrity impersonators (ELVIS!). Each night there’s something new to experience and a different way to be a part of the show.

Get Your Rock On
No visit to Red Rock Casino and Resort is complete without a stop at the Rocks Lounge. With its ample dance floor and lush seating, there’s no excuse not to let loose. With live music almost every night of the week by popular cover bands, high energy DJs keeping the crowd moving and sports viewing parties, there’s never a dull moment. Nothing says ‘cool’ more than a speakeasy, so it’s no wonder The Barbershop Cuts and Cocktails at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is ice cold. Behind the janitor’s door inside is a posh hideaway bar that comes to life with live entertainment most nights – including live band karaoke on Tuesdays – and a whiskey list as diverse as the music being played.

Las Vegas has so many ways to be entertained, you won’t have to look far to find your next musical adventure, and if you pick right, it won’t cost you a thing.
