From fabulous light displays and ice skating to photo ops to hitting the slopes to even watching as “snow” falls in the desert, here’s a guide for things to do during the holidays in Las Vegas! 

1. The Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas 

You’ll find 42,000 square feet of real ice and light “snow” showers high above the Strip at the resort’s Boulevard Pool, where you can skate the night away surrounded by glittering lights. Roast some s’mores or enjoy a seasonal cocktail at The Chalet, a reimagined mountaintop chalet with comfy seating and an oversized firepit. Running Dec. 19 to Jan. 2, the experience also offers movie nights and date skates.

 

2. Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway 

Take the speed down at this annual drive-thru attraction that is fun for the whole family or the group. No matter your age, revel in the gorgeous and incredible displays. The light show runs from Nov. 9 to Jan. 7 and features over 600 features, utilizing more than 5 million individual lights. There are also special events, including a ride on the Santa Tram, fireworks show, and a meet-n-greet with Santa and Biscuit, his loyal reindeer. Plus, the entire event supports charity, so have fun and feel good at the same time! 

3. Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens at Bellagio 

The resort’s horticulture team keeps this attraction fresh and fascinating all year long, but the holidays make its fall and winter displays even more special. The whimsical Harvest installation features vibrant colors of fall foliage and runs through Nov. 26, with the highly anticipated holiday display from Dec. 2 to Jan. 7. 

4. Enchant at Las Vegas Ballpark 

Magical memories await at this picture-perfect experience complete with more than 4 million sparkling lights. Glide down the ice-skating trail, make your way through the new larger-than-life light maze and swing by Santa’s Landing to see the big guy in red. Running from Nov. 24 to Dec. 31, the experience also features a holiday-themed village where you can enjoy seasonal treats and do some gift shopping! 

5. Holiday Cactus Garden at Ethel M Chocolates 

The working chocolate factory transforms its three acres of cacti, succulents and more into a spirited walk-through spectacle. Beginning early November, the incredible attraction also features visits from Santa, entertainment and tasty treats from the sweets shop—grab a hot cocoa before you begin and prepare for an exciting experience that’s fun for the whole family!  

6. The LINQ Promenade at The LINQ Hotel + Experience 

Enjoy an assortment of spirited displays at this resort’s lively outdoor shopping thoroughfare. Take in the wintry décor and pose for pics with the magnificent, sparkling, 30-foot-tall Christmas tree. As you meander through, indulge in the twinkling lights and festive décor, plus you can tackle your holiday shopping as you browse! 

7. Carousel Bar at Plaza Hotel & Casino 

Head to Downtown Las Vegas, just steps off Fremont Street, for a unique experience at this bar. With moving carousel horses and pop-rock cocktails on the menu, this playful and eye-catching scene is the perfect spot to make you feel like a kid again! Plus, it’s well known for its creative drink offerings, so prepare your taste buds for some delicious, themed flairs.  

8. The Nutcracker at The Smith Center 

The beloved, classic Christmas tale comes to life with stunning sets, special effects and beautiful choreography danced by the Nevada Ballet Theatre. This must-see holiday show is an immersive experience with its larger-than-life displays and captivating performance. The falling fluffy flakes from the “sky” is the cherry on top of this quintessential experience presented at the arts complex’s glamorous Reynolds Hall. 

9. Rouge Room at Red Rock Casino Resort Spa 

Enjoy some spirited fun in an atmosphere that combines elegance and entertainment at this swanky, off-Strip lounge. As you enter, you’ll be transported to 1920s Paris based on the décor and cozy interior. While there, you might as well indulge in tasty, French-inspired bites and toast the season with a signature cocktail! 

10. Fremont Street Experience

Festive celebrations take place at the downtown entertainment hub throughout the holiday season, including the lighting and display of its massive Christmas tree and menorah. 11. Mount Charleston 

Located about 45 minutes from the Strip, the snow-capped mountains and picturesque landscape sets the holiday tone. Plus, you can hit the slopes, sip on hot cocoa fireside, see the tree-lighting ceremonies, or simply relax in a cozy cabin.  

12. Lee Canyon  

During the winter months, Lee Canyon is bustling with activity as skiers, snowboarders and snow tubers seek out the thrilling excitement of hitting the various slopes, each route varying in skill level.
