Bill Maher has set the boundaries of where funny, political talk can go on American television for over 25 years.  Maher started his career as a stand-up comedian in 1979 and currently performs multiple dates annually in Las Vegas, as well as at sold-out theaters across the country. Maher also has been recognized with numerous Emmy nominations for his stand-up specials for HBO.
