THEhotel at Mandalay Bay boasts service and sophistication on par with the best boutique hotels in the
world.
The VIP treatment starts when you pull up to THEhotel's dedicated valet service in the underground
parking garage for Mandalay Bay. THEhotel has its own entrance and lobby, lounges, cafe, gym and spa,
yet still allows for easy access to all that Mandalay Bay has to offer. The chic styling is reminiscent of the
sleek lines of 1930s era French designers such as Jean Michel Frank, filtered through the contemporary
vocabulary of recent countryman Christian Liaigre. Refined architecture, modern furnishings and world-
class art by Jasper Johns and Donald Judd punctuate the hotel's interior.
The standard room suite is the largest of any hotel in Las Vegas at 725 square feet. Living areas feature
glossy furnishings, 42-inch plasma televisions, half-baths for guests, private bars and plush chairs and
sofas. The bedrooms have down comforters, pillow-top mattresses, robes and slippers and a flat-screen
TV (there's a smaller version in the bathroom). The spacious bathrooms feature dual sinks, glass-enclosed
separate tub and shower, and enclosed water closet. All the suites have high-speed Internet connections
and a fax, printer and copier combo on the desk in the salon.
On the first floor, you'll find a 60,000-square-foot grand lobby with a separate VIP check-in, two
restaurant and show reservation desks, the business center, a lobby bar with billiards lounge,
restaurant and coffee bar.
Floor number two is home to the 14,000-square-foot Bathhouse Spa - a spectacularly hip, Zen-inspired
facility with hot-and-cold plunge pools, hot whirlpools, eucalyptus steam rooms, rainfall corridors and
private baths with adjoining showers.
On floors three through six, Business Suites - featuring the same layout as the one-bedroom suites - are
conveniently located next to 5,000-square-feet of conference and function space. Beyond that, you will
find the guests suites and super guest suites offering up to 4,500-square-feet of living space with even
more lavish accoutrements.
The view from the top is amazing and is visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows of Mix Restaurant and
Lounge, starring the cuisine of the Michelin man, Alain Ducasse, and the design of Frenchman Patrick
Jouin. Guests dine under a 24-foot chandelier made of 15,000 hand-blown glass spheres custom-made in
Murano, Italy.
