From Las Vegas take I-15 north, approx 40 miles, to Exit 75 and turn right; admission. Valley of Fire derives its name from the spectacular red sandstone formations in the park. A visitors information center located within the park includes exhibits on geology, prehistory and ecology of the park. There are camping sites, picnicking sites and hiking opportunities for the visitor.
